Karori
First panel says “There once was a man in Karori,” and shows a hilly suburb with a tunnel right through.
Second panel says “Insisting his suburb was boring,” and shows a yawning Triangle-person standing at a long road with houses in a row.
Third panel says “His verdict was strong,” and shows a stubborn Triangle-person wagging a finger at an Oval-person explaining something.
Fourth panel says “Yet he was quite wrong,” and shows a building named “Mall”, with a second storey tacked on on one side. The final subtitle says “Since the mall had a second storey.”
In Wellington (the capital of New Zealand), there is this trope about Karori being a dreadful suburb to live in. It does have a small town vibe - isolated by hills, off to the side of the town proper, with weather that is noticeably more capricious than the lower-elevation areas.
Alternatively, you could also see it as a cute mountain town situated in a valley of native bush, with 350 degree views of the hills, clean, with lots of space, yet still close to a major cultural centre.
Take your pick. The only dreadful thing everyone agrees on is the Karori mall. Oh yeah, and it really does have a second storey…
